Before we dive into the spiritual root of rheumatoid arthritis, let’s get some clarity on what spirituality is.

Spirituality can be practiced through:

  • religion
  • church attendance
  • prayer
  • meditation
  • yoga
  • or a walk in the woods

Regardless of how you define it, science shows that there are real benefits to having a routine spiritual practice.

Now let’s talk more about Arthritis which is the inflammation in one or more joints.

There are different types of arthritis:

  • osteoarthritis
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • psoriatic arthritis
  • fibromyalgia
  • gout, etc.

We’ll be speaking specifically about rheumatoid arthritis (R.A.).

R.A. Defined and Detailed

R.A. is different from other types of arthritis because it is labeled as an autoimmune disorder. It affects the synovium which is the membrane around the around the joints and tissues. It can cause painful swelling, inflammation, and stiffness at various joints throughout the body.

If you suffer from this chronic pain, our compassion and love goes out to you and we hope that within this article you will realize the power of S.I.T. to help you overcome this horrible autoimmune disease. Watch the case study video below:

R.A. is usually symmetrical, meaning that it is happening on both sides of the body (ex: both knees). The most commonly prescribed drugs are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS.) includes Advil, Motrin, Midol, Aleve, Mobic, and many others. If you’re reading this, you likely understand that consistently using those drugs are not in your best interest, long term.

Emotions Associated with R.A.

The emotions associated with R.A. are usually:

  • unexpressed anger
  • resentment
  • aggression
  • criticism (of self and others)
  • lack of support
  • and fear

So if you are angry with your for what you did not do or did not accomplish thus far in life, your suppressed resentments could be trapped in your body as R.A. In the cast study above, the client was mourning the loss of her personal identity and since what we perceive, we create, this sense of loss can show up in forms such as R.A. So for that person the spiritual root of rheumatoid arthritis was resentment towards loosing her self identity to assume the identity of her late mother.

Treating the Spiritual Root of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Subconscious Imprinting Technique (read more here), can help uncover and release those emotions we spoke about earlier. The lady in the case study above was able to complete 45-minute jogs every day after her session with S.I.T., even though her R.A. was primarily in the knees.

Let’s break this down

New identity: “perfect catholic wife”

Judgements: must be serving, must be perfect, must act a certain way, must be a certain waySpiritual Root of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Loyalties: must serve the religion, must serve the father, must serve the family, must serve the church

Implications: being locked up away from yourself when you’re forced to assume this new identity that is not your own

Manifestation: body created inflammation in the form of rheumatoid arthritis (the body creates mechanisms to protect yourself and give you real-time feedback)

Overall, the fact of the matter is that when you step into your truth of who you are, you WILL have others judge you. Do not let that be anything about you and definitely do not hold that within. So now there are few options available to you to help with release emotions around R.A.:

  1. Learn to heal yourself with S.I.T. therapy
  2. Learn to heal yourself AND others
  3. Find a certified SIT practitioner near you =>
